All of Filix’s official releases have been collaborations, but Allen(IT) also boasts solo outings on labels including NONSTOP and Labium.

Allen(IT) is an artist whose early releases picked up instant supported from the likes of Spencer Parker, Felipe Venegas and Ray Okpara. Soon he was getting international bookings and has played in countries like Brazil, Germany, Russia plus America, and he continues to be one of Italy’s most consistent artists.

Filippo Sgarlata aka Filix is one of Italy’s veteran DJ’s who over the years has held residencies in many of the country’s top clubs and events including Taitù at the Marabù Club, Atmosphere Fashion Club and Gotama. He is also a radio show host and played DJ sets in other countries such as Germany and Spain.

Track one “Run Away” has fizzing hi-hat and menacing bass stabs combined with the timeless sound of a 909 rim shot and dramatic snare rolls. Trippy vocal phrases loop into a chant and add to the brash bump of the jacking groove that’s tailor made to be played loud and proud on club sound systems.

Second is “I Climp” has Green Velvet style vocals plus an ominous bass line layered under sparse percussion that's rich with claps. With an up-tempo vibe and dramatic lead synths, this twisted slice of tech house is packed with attitude, and a certified party starter.

“Situation” is third on the EP with its wonky bassline, stripped back sound, bending notation, and percussive groove. Simple and straight to the point, this track has building tension and a series of dancefloor friendly drops that will work people into a frenzy.

Finishing off the release in style, “Replay” has an unpredictable and chaotic sound that unfolds with added excitement as every twist and turn. Full of call and response rhythms the track sounds like a synth and a drum machine having a charismatic conversation, so with gossip this good everyone wants to get involved.
